[Chiller Structure] Differences between Air-cooling type and water-cooled types
The inside of a chiller unit consists of freezing cycle in which refrigerant circulates and a water circuit in which chilled water circulates, and there are two types of refrigerant cooling methods: Air-cooling type and water-cooled.
They are called "chillers" because their primary purpose is cooling, but there are also devices that can heat as well as cool, so they can be used for a variety of purposes.

1. Chiller structure
■ Features of Air-cooling type chillers
The circulating water is cooled by exchanging heat with outside air using a fan inside the chiller.
Although the room temperature may rise because heat is released into the indoor space, installation is easy as there is no need for piping for cooling water, and maintenance work can be reduced.

■ Structure and features of water-cooled chillers
The circulating water inside the chiller is cooled by exchanging heat with the cooling water.
Although piping work is required to draw cooling water, it has superior cooling efficiency compared to Air-cooling type. In addition, since there is no fan, there is less noise, and since there is no exhaust or heat released into the indoor space, it is possible to achieve a clean environment.

2. Chiller Applications
Here is an example of Apiste Chiller Unit being used. Some industrial equipment and measuring instruments require constant temperature control, and some generate large amounts of heat, so cooling equipment is required.
By introducing a chiller, you can ensure that your equipment operates stably and efficiently.
