Features of the VSC-N Series of oil chillers
Non-freon oil chillers using the new R1234yf refrigerant.
The first player in this industry market oil chillers using R1234yf refrigerant. It is a refrigerant with a global warming potential of less than 1 and an ozone depletion potential of 0, making it more environmentally friendly than Freon-gas. It is of course not subject to the Fluorocarbon Emissions Control Act. There is no need for the simple inspection required every three months with conventional oil chillers, thereby greatly reducing the management workload, and the cost of recovering and destroying the chlorofluorocarbon upon disposing of the chiller is also reduced.

High precision of ±0.1 ℃ thanks to hot gas bypass control
Equipped with a hot gas bypass function using a heating valve. The cooling capacity is adjusted according to the calorific value of the side to be cooled, achieving a high oil temperature control precision of ±0.1 ℃, something difficult with conventional oil chillers. It is designed for worry-free use even for main axis cooling on machine tools requiring precision control.
Not subject to the Fluorocarbon Emissions Control Act
This is a Non-freon oil chiller based on the non-freon Control panel cooling unit technology we pioneered in the industry and is designed for use in the same automated factory environments. It uses the new R1234yf refrigerant. Not only its ozone depletion potential is naturally zero, but its global warming potential is also less than 1, and it is not subject to the Fluorocarbon Emissions Control Act. This oil chiller is friendly to both the Earth's environment and to users.
Related facts
Six new requirements for CFC users according to the Fluorocarbon Emissions Control Act enacted in April 2015
- Installation of product in an appropriate location and maintenance of installation environment
- Periodic inspection of all products
- Keeping of records of product maintenance history
- Appropriate measures for CFC leaks
- Reporting of amount leaked (if over 1000CO2-t/year)
- Outsourcing of CFC filling and recovery when maintaining the product
Concerning inspections
The Fluorocarbon Emissions Control Act makes it mandatory to inspect all oil chillers and control board coolers using CFCs at a frequency of at least once every three months.
Concerning maintenance records
The Fluorocarbon Emissions Control Act requires that an individual record of the history of inspection, maintenance, and refrigerant filling and recovery be kept and managed for each oil chiller and control board cooler using CFCs.
